Reads: Dear Ruth, There is a wonderful exhibition on at the Tate I went to on Joseph Wright of Derby. Do go, he was one of the most interesting 18th century painters of all. The show lasts through April. See the picture calles "The Old Man and Death"-- death appears in the midst of a brilliant sunny landscape: so useful for T.J. I think-- I've done my work with Humphrey and am off to Paris today-- Love, Jim.
