Describing in detail the DGA Awards dinner-- "another cannibal feast"-- with Paramount studio head Frank Mancuso and Oliver Stone; describing a visit from artist Bob Helm and his wife, and taking them to Rockefeller Center; noting that he wants to buy a piece of Helm's work and "put a little plaque on it that says: Gift of Richard and Lilly [sic] Zanuck"; updating her on "Maurice," as they are nearly done with the first cut; hoping that "Shashi will be sufficiently pulled together to do a good job for Stephen Frears."
