Summary
Announcing, "This is an important letter, demanding some quick thought and action on your part..."; recounting the experience of doing an interview yesterday for the BBC, and finding that Melvyn Bragg, the new head of London Weekend Television, was the interviewer; emphasizing that Bragg is now in a very powerful position at LWT, "in complate charge of the arts programme at LW and of the money allotted to this"; describing how, while they were at lunch, Bragg told her he greatly admires Ivory's work and asked if Ivory might have any projects ready to go that might work for LWT; outlining the specifics of what Bragg is looking for; telling them she suggested a story idea she told them about before she left New York, about a young woman traveling around India having adventures, and saying Bragg was enthusiastic about the young woman being played by Felicity Kendal, "as she's very big with TV audiences here at present"; passing this possibility on to them, and furnishing Bragg's contact details.
