Thanking him for "your kind letter and remittance"; lamenting the fact that he is "too weak" to come visit O'Riordan at present; telling him Sherard is not going to Paris and Mrs. Sherard insists that Dowson not travel until he is stronger; suggesting that if the weather improves, O'Riordan might be able to come and visit them; apologizing for his "scrawl".
