Summary
Saying it was pleasant to hear from him "not only because of your long friendship with W.J., but also because I value your opinions on my checklist" which appears in "Papers of the Bibliographical Society of the University of Virginia, Vol. 6, 1953-1954"; thanking him "for telling me about W.J.'s introduction to your anthology When I Was a Child" and asking for a copy and offering "a copy of the special number of Books, which the N.B.L. prepared for the Exhibition, and which will become a rare item"; asking for "bibliographical details of this item, so that I may add it to the checklist"; requesting additional books and articles by Wagenknecht and offering to send a list of things he would like in return; missing W.J. and recalling his funeral; having "been over to the Twickenham house to see N." and wishing "the family could have kept the upper flat"; suggesting that he write to Florence Thompson, care of Richard de la Mare to reach her; saying "W.J. often talked about you"; adding "The English checklist has just been published by C.U.P., but it is the same publication as the N.B.L. booklet".
