Summary
Apologizing for delay; being "hopelessley over-burdened during these past few months" and having not yet read "the photostatted copies that you so very kindly sent me"; seeing no chance that the biography will be out "for at least two or three years yet" as "the Whistlers cannot afford to devote all their time to it"; answering questions about editions Wagenknecht does not have and listing books he will send; saying that Knopf recently produced Stories from the Bible saying Memoirs of a Midget is out of print and that "Gwen Raverat would have illustrated it beautifully, I quite agree, but she alas is dead, as I expect you know" and will look for another illustrator; thanking him for the photostats; adding in postscript that he will keep an eye on Wagenknecht's standing order and not send any reprints.
