Summary
Thanking him for his letter of January 25th and "was much interested to hear about the sketch of my father that you have written"; answering questions: "there is no evidence that my father was related to Browning on his mother's side. I know that he thought it a possibility, but I don't think he ever really seriously investigated the matter" and "Yes, my father was offered a knighthood and he preferred not to accept it"; adding in postscript that his father was "working upon another collection of his critical writing shortly before his death" but that it is not ready for publication; thinking about publishing one futher book by him.
