Summary
Thanking him for the letter and saying "you will--by the time you recieve this have had my father's letter to you and I hope the book" posted last week; having a good report from the doctor and thinking "he has not been happier & so serene for many years"; saying "He came back to Penn just about a fortnight ago and will, I think, be with us for the summer at least".
