Informing her that their father arrived and seemed satisfied with the house, although he mentioned that, had he seen the house beforehand, he would have brought pictures for the drawing room; mentioning that their father didn't bring any linens or a nightshirt; writing that she has been unable to swallow anything but liquid; adding that she has seen a new parlour-maid" who might do" and that their father already has a drawer full of letters which she is arranging; expressing sympathy for all they have to do and asking that they let her know if there is anything she can do to help.
