Summary
Responding to an anecdote about "a minor official who deposited your mail in your storage box" and enjoying "the rumour your letter afforded of your 'terrifical scandal' in the B.p.o.d."; delighting in letter and giving "Walter my blessedest love" and answering him about the Wizard of Oz; asking Wagenknecht to assure Derleth that he neglected his last letter and discussing the possible publication of stories after serialization; discussing "The Study of Forrest Reid's work" and how "Commemorative plaques are to be put up on two houses in Belfast where F.R. once lived. There is a little committee, J.M. Forester, Knox Cunningham, (an old friend of F.R.'s) and myself, engaged in this"; recieving a letter from Pamela Bianco; quoting Oliver Twist; asking if he would like to see a copy of "A Dictionary of Children's Rhymes".
