Saying his writing has been "sluggish and dilatory"; describing Christmas and the weather; saying that Faber has decided against a proposed book; describing an almanac issued by the [Hornbook ?] with "exquisite imagery and decorations from Pamela Bianco "who has just sent me, my, as yet, only copy"; hoping Wagenknecht is at peace with his publishers; mentioning that the Winged Chariot "has all but come to final page proofs" and debating whether to send it to "the Arts Council G.G.B." for a reward; saying this is his seventy-seventh Christmas; asking if Wagenknecht is coming over soon; telling a story about Julian falling at school and reading about Nebuchadnezzar.
