Opening with "I am giving you many, too many letters to write--and you never utter a word of complaint"; thanking him for his good memory; waiting for Knopf to return from travelling to respond; finding his second published story "'Kismet'; which appeared in a magazine called 'The Sketch,'" about '96 or '97 I suppose" and telling Derleth, who will send photostats of other stories and Derleth saying Wagenknecht will write an introduction; thinking about previously published stories that have not been anthologized; commenting on the slowness of communication with M.C.A.; discussing new poems he is writing and which poems have already been sent out; saying he hasn't "been to a cinema for two years" but recalling two films; saying Childrens Stories is on its way.
