Confirming receipt of letter from the 3rd, that their letters crossed; expressing appreciation for concern about his wellbeing; saying he doesn't "heard before of Rand McNally"; not remembering if "The Lord Fish" has appeared in America but guessing it would have been published by "Alfred Knopf's"; not remembering who published "Stories from the Bible" but does remember "its appalling illustrations" and asking "if anything can be done about these two books, for whatever you generously attempt, I shall be very grateful; suggesting a contract "should be negotiated with the M.C.A." whose "recent activities have been perplexing; listing various stories for possible inclusion in an anthology, wondering if they are "romantic".
