hurrying to answer letter from the 23rd; approving Canadian fee for "The Burning-Glass"; explaining Miss Barton "was with Pinker for mnay years and now very kindly does my correspondence for me in regard to anthologies and musical settings of my poems" and didn't know that she had a letter from Wagenknecht until this morning; doing his best to "let you have the introduction for WHEN I WAS A CHILD with as little delay as possible."; saying he is sure to hear from "Miss Pindyck when she has your letter."; agreeing about staying with Leland Hayward; expecting that he would have also corresponded with Jean Rogers.
