Summary
Thanking him for letter on June 2nd; enclosing a copy of reply to "Mr. Thornton"; apologizing for not being able to collaborate on an anthology; hoping to contribute a general introduction to poetry derived from "a longish paper that was written some little time ago on 'Craftsmanship in Verse'" or "The Meaning of Poetry" from Pleasures and Speculations; wishing he could change the year of his birthday to lessen his problems; saying it has been a disadvantage to have a secretary to cope with the "disorder of my literary agents".
