Summary
Expressing great guilt at the loss of a library book Tinsley had lent him; writing that he is sorry that he has not been in good health, hoping that his stay in Edinburgh helped him to recover, and praising the bookshops and booksellers of that city; acknowledging his culpability in misquoting Andrew Lang (in his book "The breezy coast") and explaining that he took the quote from the title page of Murray's "Scarlet gown" but failed to verify it.
