Summary
Enclosing a "trifle" which "may be of some relief to the poor man you mentioned", and adding that he has no objection "to Subscribe this annually"; writing that the bearer will deliver the India paper to him, acknowledging a proof Scott sent him, and asking "to exchange it for a companion to the New-Foundland dog I have inclosed", stating "This will be doing me a favour, as I think them in the first Class of Art."
