Summary
Reads: When I got up here, leaving Delhi behind, the scratches and slime deposited by the jackals and hyenas slowly came off. I feel better now, and am writing to you in a day or two. This is another very rainy year and Kasauli is green and beautiful. The first thing I saw when I got here was a poster for "Guru": it had been playing the previous Sunday morning (they always play one English film for one show once a week, and everyone goes to see it). I think of you a lot and hope everything is not getting too frenzied during this final phase and that you're bearing up well and strong. Whenever I see an advert for a tonic, promising vitality & a cool brain, I want to buy it for you. Much love, Ruth.
