Summary
Thanking Wagenknecht for the information and bibliographic list he sent about Emerson; making plans to travel to the University of Wisconsin, Madison, to track down out-of-print volumes of Emerson's journals; saying after this trip he should have all he needs for his young adult biography, "after all, I am limited to 40,000 words including generous quotations"; agreeing that if he were writing the book Wagenknecht may write for Oxford University Press, he would also wait and see what Harvard publishes on the subject first; mentioning he delivered a lecture of 7,000 words on censorship in schools, as well as completing two new poems.
