Summary
Thanking Wagenknecht for his review of "The Moon Tenders"; noting that in spite of its selection for the Junior Literary Guild for the following year, it has been selling slowly; attributing the lack of sales to the lack of reviews, which troubles him "because I had hoped to do a little group of such books"; writing that another part of the series "The Mill Creek Irregulars" is forthcoming, and a third novel after that; mentioning that beyond these volumes he has little in the works; noting that Duell, Sloan & Pearce are encouraged by the sales of "The House on the Mound" and might want to publish another historical novel "The Hills Stand Watch" in the spring of 1960; saying that for now, he is content to focus on preparing the bibliography for Arkham Houses's 20th anniversary in 1959; writing that his last collaboration with Dwig (Clare Victor Dwiggins) "Wilbur, the Trusting Whip-Poorwill" is set to release in March or April; responding to Wagenknecht's observation about the declining popularity of the King Aroo comics by Jack Kent, attributing that to the rise of "Peanuts"; closing with observations of how much joy his children bring, and that "they already have large libraries for such small children"
