Summary
Writing that he would be jealous of Wagenknecht's recent acquisition of an original signed Foxy Grandpa comic, but that "it would be the grossest smallmindedness on my part to envy any of my friends their possession of such items as your signed Foxy"; bragging about the original comics in his collection, including number of Dwig's drawings; noting that these individual parts matter much less than the whole of a collection; responding that he had not managed to read the new de la Mare story, but remarking that Weird Tales published a newer story by Oliver Onions that was good; remembering that he had sent the typescripts of the three De la Mare stories Arkham House intends to publish so that Wagenknecht could use them to write an introduction; hoping to publish the collection in late spring; reflecting that his calendar for the next six months is incredibly full, as he intends to complete four individual books (including "Bright Journey" and "Three Problems for Solar Pons"), get married, honeymoon, and lecture at a Los Angeles college in June; writing that the two stories from Chauncey Mitchell DePew were delightful; closing with news that he intends to finish a new young adult historical novel and a new short novel titled "The Drought of March."
