Summary
Expressing gratitude that Wagenknecht read and enjoyed the final version of "The House of Moonlight"; acknowledging that his reference to the 1920s cartoon character "Happy Hooligan" could well be an anachronism; giving a tentative timeline for the publication of de la Mare's "Three Tales" for early autumn the following year; mentioning that it will have to be released in a limited edition, mostly due to Arkham House's plummeting sales; writing that he plans to do a similar limited release of John Metcalfe's new novella "The Feasting Dead" in the following year as well; mentioning that Zealia Bishop's "The Curse of Yig" has sold well, in addition to his collection "Psyche"; saying he is sorry Wagenknecht is dealing with bursitis; closing with an update about how he must undergo a drastic weight reduction so he can get his blood pressure back under a specific level; writing that he and his wife are both enjoying a life of "exemplary quiet."
