Announcing that "I've got (or had) lice again"; complaining that this only happens to him in England; relating that they went to Nottingham to see a production of "King John" starring Barry Foster-- "awful"; say that after missing the train back to London they went to see the Japanese film "Kwaidan"; saying they also briefly met Harold Pinter in Nottingham; describing a dinner party at Enid Fleming's house where fellow guests included John Gielgud, gallery owner Betty Parsons, and the agent of their friend Waris Hussein; desccribing the conversation, and being cornered by Gieldgud and Fleming about Michael York; describing the results of another "James" having gone to an auction to bid on some items on Ivory's behalf; saying Subrata Mitra has arrived in London; telling her they have made the "little improvements" to "The Guru" suggested by Richard Zanuck; announcing that they are preparing to hold a "grand soiree" tonight, and have invited Rita Tushingham and Terry Bicknell, Edna O'Brien, Richard Roud, Pamela Balfrey, and Subrata and Nandita Mitra; saying they showed Ray's film "Charulata" to Lynn Redgrave and her husband, and it made a different impression on him that when he saw it before; saying it is time to go and help Ismail.
