Summary
Expressing surprise that neither Harpers nor Houghton Mifflin wanted Wagenknecht's book and encouraging him not to give up; complimenting the book; encouraging him to try Doubleday Doran, other big publishers, like Harcourt Brace, and John Farrar; stating that his health is bad due to myocarditis, but that he's improving; saying he "managed to get through with the Pulitzer prize fiction" and, although a welcome diversion, this will probably be his last year.
