Recounting the difficulty he and Ismail Merchant are having trying to obtain permission to ship a print of the film [i.e. Bombay Talkie] to New York; expressing his concern that they "get the finished film to a safe place"; relating the "outcome of the business with the maestro [i.e. Satyajit Ray] over what his sister-in-law is supposed to have heard", with regard to whether he had offered to compose the music, or whether Ivory had asked him to compose the music.
