Summary
Writing that she thinks his idea (for a radio program) is sound and interesting, and that she can "see no reason why I, even as an actress, should not be able to undertake such a program without any damage to myself from the critics", if he promises "to do all the verbal spanking of them when necessary."; going on to say that she believes she could get Katherine Hepburn to participate, and if she is too tired, they could ask Helen Hayes; giving her opinion that "such a program might be very welcome as there is a new national interest in the theatre.", and that supplementing the talks on plays with talks on books is a good idea as "there may not be fifty-two plays a year worth talking half an hour about."; asking that he let her know when he will be coming down to New York, stating that her sister Dorothy is getting better, but that her leading man has been ill and replaced by an understudy at rehearsal.
