Summary
Informing him that the copy of his Cavalcade of the English novel he sent her has been lost; mentioning that she playing the title role in the film "Miss Susie Slagle's" for Paramount, and that she has signed a five year contract with that studio for two pictures a year, with the privilege of doing films at other studios as well as stage plays in New York; writing that her sister Dorothy "is going abroad on a U.S.O. unit ... but has had difficulty in getting a leading man", although she has heard that one has been found and that rehearsals have started, meaning that Dorothy will probably depart just as Lillian come east to stay with their mother or bring her west "if a picture comes up at once. Otherwise I will go east and do a play", and mentioning as a possibility Emmet Lavery's "The magnificent Yankee", with Arthur Hopkins and Robert Edmond Jones.
