Summary
Sending her condolences on the death of his father; acknowledging that she mistook New Mexico for Mexico (in a previous letter, see MA 4822.77) and remarking that it "changes the picture entirely"; remarking that (James Branch) Cabell "was one of my youthful idols", regretting that he "seems to be suffering an eclipse", and asking Wagenknecht if he has noticed "the revived interest lately in Henry James?"; informing him that she will be going to Tucson, Arizona at the end of the month, and that she is "eager to get started on this technicolor film" (i.e. "Duel in the sun").
