Summary
Writing that she is pleased to hear that he liked "Annie Laurie", remarking that she was not sure he would, and that "We made the picture during the time my mother was so ill, and probably I confusedthe final result with that", adding that she believes he will like "The wind", and that she has been expecting it to open in New York almost daily; remarking that she has heard from the West that they like "The enemy"; expressing her interest in his "hope for a Repertory Theatre" and the success of the pictures he will be playing that week, and writing that she is sorry that he could not get a print of "Broken Blossoms", adding "It was probably in such bad condition they were afraid to give it out. I saw a print of it about two years ago which was simply dreadful."; commenting on the success of his book, noting that she has written "Mr. Hughes about changing dates, and adding 'The wind' to the list, as I believe they are going to release it before Christmas"; stating that she would be "delighted" to have him read "If I were king", and that she has no plans at preesent and hopes she won't for a little while.
