Observing that "it's not very exciting to be back" in New York, to his surprise; admitting that he is depressed a the "never ending road" he seems to be travelling on vis-a-vis "Lillian, Paramount, Jim and everything, just everything"; picking up writing a day later, saying he feels "a little better"; telling her he talked to her mother on the phone when he was in London and "she sounded quite cheerful"; asking her to "please write and let us know what is happening," including with "Shakespear Wallah's" Bombay run.
