Summary
Expressing her appreciation for his article, which he has apparently termed "a woefully inadequate thing", and emphasizing her desire to see it published in an appropriate periodical; noting that she is glad to hear that everything has been "beautifully settled" for his move to Seattle; remarking that she, too, was "a bit taken aback with Sally of the sawdust", as "one doesn't like to see Mr. Griffith play the buffoon, but they tell me it is very successful so I suppose he must have had that in mind. I am sure the film itself could bring very little pleasure to him."; hoping he enjoyed "Broken blossoms" on its return engagement in Chicago and asking how it was received "on its second visit".
