Summary
Commiserating with Guth over her recent "distressing, really rotten" year; pointing out that "I'm glad/relieved to be pretty sure that you can't have been alone through it," and citing her husband and brother; saying he can't really be of any help of offer advice regarding "this Harvey Schneider specimen," and doubting that Gotham Bookstore, Swann's, or Milton Greenstein will be much help either; asking her to "be as realistic about this Harvey Schneider thing as you can ... The book and the inscription were meant for only Gus alone, and no end of stealing, profiteering, 1985-ing can change that. Please be wiser than wise about it, little Dottie Lobrano."
