Summary
Noting that he had a similar experience to Ruth's in discovering that "The Householder" has opened in London by reading reviews in the New Statesman, and feeling that the English reviewers "really seem to know what we're trying to do"; chiding Ruth for not liking some of the dialogue in "Householder"; asking about her thoughts on the "the Ustad" and the "beach house" stories; hoping the U.S. release of "Shakespeare Wallah" will translate into some funding for their next film; enclosing a New Yorker piece he wrote [not present]; saying Foo (Felicity Kendal) is arriving next week; saying the IRS is "after me for not paying a tax in 1959."
