Summary
Writing that he has been hoping to get a letter from her "to tell me how you are going on", that he has no news except that the weather has not been good and that he does not "get about" as much as he wishes; adding that his eye bothers him more than he expected and that he will be back on Monday, mentioning that he sent his linen to be washed, asking her to send him a "day shirt & a collar" and suggesting that she might like to come down again on Saturday and bring what he wants with her.
