Summary
Reporting back about the London Film Festival-- Phoo (Felicity Kendal) has an excellent agent, James Fox wants to do "Esmond in India," they are trying to get Fox to fund the option and first treatment, and they're hoping to get Harold Pinter to work on it; announcing distribution deals for "Shakespeare Wallah" in England, Europe, Russia, and China, and an opening date in London; saying Phoo has offers from the BBC and the National Theatre, and the "silly misunderstanding" with Jennifer and Shashi will be cleared up; telling Ruth that her mother and brother enjoyed the film very much; asking Jhab to take care of a financial matter for him; saying the Indian Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has repeatedly asked to screen the film, "so that they can ... say Wha Kiya Khoob [What a great job!] or Chee yeh bhi koyee fhilam hai [Is this also a film?]"; passing on word from Lillian Ross; saying he is suffering from headaches and blaming it on Ivory.
