Congratulating them on getting "Shakespeare Wallah" into the Berlin Film Festival, and wondering how they did it; enclosing a translation of the synopsis into German, made by her brother [not present]; reassuring them that if the German sub-titles are being done by professionals, they have nothing to worry about; telling them she was very worried about them while they were in Afghanistan; describing the most recent family mishap-- Poji getting "a cactus thorn lodged right in her eye-ball. Oh God."; saying it has turned out fine, but "Why, why, why do these things always happen to us? To my poor little children?"; saying they have just returned from a weekend in Kasauli, and hope to return soon, as it it currently 108 degrees in Delhi; saying Madhur is all excited to go to Germany for the festival, and Foo (Felicity Kendal) must go as well.
