Summary
Wondering why they say they haven't heard from her, since she has been writing frequently since they arrived in Berlin, and even once to Kabul; lamenting the fact that they haven't gotten her brother's translation of the synopsis of "Shakespeare Wallah"; wondering if they have received Madhur's letters, and describing her current state-- "she is in such a flap" about the coming trip to Germany for the festival, worried that the Indian government will take away her passport and "give her a 15-day travel document instead" as they've been known to do; saying she's glad Madhur is going, as are Foo (Felicity Kendal) and Shashi and Jennifer; saying she wishes she could be there, or rather, she wishes she could hear about it and then meet them in London; passing on some gossip about some government officials; saying that it's a "wonderful thing" that "Shakespeare Wallah" has been accepted to the film festival-- "You're so clever"; pointing out that she and the family will be leaving for Kasauli tomorow and staying til the 25th, so they should write her there.
