Summary
Enclosing an alternative ending (see MA 23840.151a) for "Shakespeare Wallah," with the intent to "take the load off Pratap Sharma," with the caveat that they will be able to discuss it before shooting since Ruth will be coming up that weekend; voicing concern about Laura Liddell's performance as Carla, as she seems to be having more difficulty adapting to film acting than Geoffrey (Kendal) or Foo (Felicity Kendal) and asking if she needs to "doctor" a scene to take the onus off of her; also feeling concerned about Jim Tytler, an amateur actor playing Bobby, and suggesting a couple of alternate lines for him; expressing regret that "Deeg seems to be out" as a location, since so many scenes were written with it expressly in mind, and some scenes may have to rewritten; asking about the Kapurthala Palace as a substitute.
