Describing this morning's meeting at the Reserve Bank, and the ramifications for MIP and the Finance Ministry, in the ongoing affair of the Indian release of "The Householder"; reminding Ivory that he is leaving for Delhi tomorrow; saying "I am terribly depressed and upset"; mentioning his despairing letter from the day before and claiming the stress is damaging his health; telling Ivory that Ruth wants to spend a month on Juhu Beach in Bombay, and he has arranged to rent a cottage there for all of them; asking Ivory to send a copy of a promissory note to "Jhab's address," which he will sign, as well as the negatives of some production stills.
