Acknowledging receipt of two letters from Ivory and despairing over their contents regarding the ongoing conflict with Columbia over the Indian distribution of "The Householder"; expressing anger with Ivory and disgust with Columbia and America and Paul Weiss's legal representation; saying there is no point in Ivory coming to India without the 4 lakhs Columbia will not release; despairing of filmmaking: "for the time being no more MIP productions"; adding "Now please do not misunderstand, I love you dearly and this has nothing to do with our friendship, but I see no end to it."
