Summary
Telling Ivory that he saw Satyajit Ray's "Mahanagar" with "the Bhavnagars" and came away "simply overwhelmed" and wanting to start work immediately; saying he wrote to Ray about the film, and also contacted Subrata Mitra to see if he would be amenable to working on "the actors film" ["Shakespeare Wallah"]; passing on kind words about "The Householder"; also passing on word from Ruth that she feels she has enough material to produce "a rough treatment" for the next film; updating Ivory on the latest on the Columbia Pictures-Reserve Bank-MIP matter; concerned that he hasn't received anything from Ivory from New York; repeating his request for reviews of "The Householder" from U.S. papers and magazines, and for photographs taken for them by Duane Michals; asking if "The Delhi Way" has been screened at the Asia Society in New York yet.
