Summary
Asking "Where are you?" as she and Jhab have been unable to reach Ivory by telephone for the last couple days; relating how they had been at their "lowest ebb" concerning the ongoing problems with Columbia Pictures, the MPEAA, and the Indian government concerning the Indian release of "The Householder" when Ivory's telegram arrived and "all was jubilation"; confessing she had been advising Merchant to "break" with Columbia completely; now advising them both to never deal with them ever again; commiserating with Ivory over a "beastly" letter from Merchant; suggesting that the next time he sends one, Ivory should tear it up and send it back unread; telling Ivory her book "Like Birds, Like Fishes" is doing very well and going into a second printing, and she has convinced them to properly credit Ivory for the cover photograph; asking if she may send two copies of the book to Ivory's father; expressing optimism that they can solve the issue in the "Shakespeare Wallah" script concerning the main character and one of his romances; repeating her entreaty concerning their beach holiday in Bombay: "Please, please be in Bombay with us in the Juhu shack ... without you everything will be just one big vacuum."
