Reacting to Ivory's latest letter, in which he comments on the script for what will become "Shakespeare Wallah"; giving her own take on certain characters to be played by Shashi Kapoor, Harindranath Chattopadhyaya, and Madhur Jaffrey; wanting to find a part for Jennifer Kendal; passing on news of Shashi and Jennifer's holiday plans and the Kendals touring to Hong Kong; entreating Ivory to come to India soon and to come straight to Delhi-- "no point in your going to Bombay"; recounting how, after dropping Ismail at the airport, she and Jhab came home to find Ivory's telegram outlining Columbia's rejection of the Indian government's distribution proposal for MIP; telling Ivory he shouldn't let them get away with it; saying she saw a magazine interview with Leela Naidu, "and not one word about The Householder."
