Summary
Telling Ivory she is sending him a finished draft of the script for the actors film [later "Shakespeare Wallah"}, and that she is glad she finished it now, since Merchant is saying they cannot finance it and should do "The Widow" instead, and had she known that she would never have finished it; expressing frustration and disbelief at how intractable Columbia Pictures are being concerning "The Householder," and how disrespectful of the Indian government; saying Merchant might be able to cut a separate deal with Kino Enterprises to distribute the film in Bombay-- perhaps they can do other deals territory by territory?; expressing a desire to meet the Columbia executives, so she can see "what people like that look like, how they talk and behave in ordinary human intercourse"; asking Ivory to "Please discourage Ismail on The Widow. I don't think it would work"; listing the many reasons why they should make the actors film instead; asking Ivory to let her know what he thinks when he sees the script.
