Enumerating his recent activities -- "I have been meeting people and calling them-- interviews, articles and press conference [sic]-- but it is all so dull so uninteresting all because you are not here"; saying he will be going to Delhi with Blamey the following Monday; discussing a number of releases he is receiving from various persons and asks if Ivory has received one from Shashi Kapoor as well as $600 from Jay Raben; describing Blamey-- "a Japanese American -- short and wears dark glasses, a very pleasant person"-- and the various venues they hope to book for "The Householder" in Delhi and Bombay and Calcutta; passing on news of Ruth Prawer Jhabvala and other friends and acquaintances he hopes to see soon; describing his routine: "These days I get up early around 6 in the morning andthe first thing I do is write a letter to you"; wanting to make travels plans with Ivory soon "so that at least in hope of reunion we can pass these long hours"; asking for "Merle's address" and for word of Ivory's father.
