Summary
Pointing out that Christmas is "only 12 days away" and regretting that they will not spend it together, as they did the last two Christmases, but at least Ivory will be with his father; asking about "Charlotte-- did she have twins?"; say that "according to Bill Blamey and others it is not possible to release the film ["The Houeholder"] even by February" because of the attitude of the Indian government and the uncertainty around Columbia's intentions; adding "Meanwhile I am passing a period of uncertainty and anxiety"; telling Ivory he will be attending a performance of "Hamlet" by the Kendall's [sic] company; mentioning that "Kariwal [sic] will sign the releases tomorrow" and they will be on their way; expressing the need for money over the "coming two months," the details of which he has already written about to Ivory; saying also that Ali Akbar Khan, Jyotirindra Moitra, Leela Naidu and others have been asking to be paid; telling Ivory that lots of their friends "are coming for dinner"; assuming this will be his last letter to Ivory before he leaves for Dinuba.
