Summary
Telling Ivory that Ismail is in Delhi, "but a strangely changed Ismail," seemingly bigger and "bewildered" by the favorable reception of "The Householder" and of himself; discussing the many prominent exhibitors in Delhi who are offering their cinemas for the film; describing a problem with the Finance Ministry and the English-language version of the film; passing on Merchant's idea for an Indian trailer for "The Householder"; expressing thanks for "all the wonderful things sent from New York," including, much to her amusement, maternity clothes; describing the many anecdotes she found in Jennifer and Felicity Kendal's father's diary (which will become the basis for "Shakespeare Wallah"); saying Ismail came home that night despondent over his dealings with the Finance Ministry, and he and Jhab are trying to put things right.
