Nehru; admonishing Merchant to refrain from name-dropping to the various civil servant correspondents he is keeping in touch with in India; expressing more worries about her mother-in-law's health; describing her and her daughter Renana's disappointment over an aborted trip to England, due to her own mother's ill health; discussing her script idea and describing the decrepit British colonial hill-stations in northern India.
