Entreating Ivory to "take no notice" of Ruth's recent bitter letter (see MA 23840.48), and describing the year's trials and tribulations, especially their daughter Renana's illnesses; expressing concern at an "ominous" line in Ivory's last letter, saying that people are not going to see "The Householder"; saying that he and Ruth are "so happy that Ismail [is] coming back soon & wish you were too," with a postscript, "Believe me, Ruth loves both of you-- very much."
