Summary
Discussing the reception of "The Householder" from various quarters, as well as possible cuts; describing critics' impressions of the cast, including Kapoor, Naidu, Khote, and Chattopadhyaya; asking for some help in preparing the script for publication; pointing out that publisher John Murray is wanting the photograph and artwork for the jacket of her latest book, "Like Birds, Like Fishes," which Ivory and a friend are supplying-- "The book is dedicated to you and Ismail, so it had better look good"; passing on glowing reports of Merchant from mutual friends; asserting that some negative opinions of one's work is necessary "to create a tension which alone can stimulate interest," and offering up a largely negative review in a Hindi-language magazine which her husband found, panning the performances but singling out Khan's music and Mitra's cinematorgraphy for praise; telling him she has the flu and is "aching in every limb and weak as a kittten."
